Families of chemically dependent people need to know two very important truths:
·The alcoholic or addict does not have to want help to be helped.
·They do not have to crash, hit bottom or lose everything they have worked for.
THERE ARE NO REAL VOLUNTEERS!
What is Intervention?
Intervention is a highly effective and successful method for getting professional help for addicted people and their families.
Intervention has one primary goal -- to get an addicted person into treatment. In most cases:
·Do not want to go to treatment
·Deny that they need professional help
·Are convinced that they do not have a problem.
